The Role: Director, Performance Marketing
Gamelancer is seeking a skilled and experienced marketer that will be responsible for building and executing media campaigns, optimizing business performance through effective media buying and planning strategies across various social media platforms, particularly TikTok. This role demands a versatile and creative individual with hands-on experience driving value across different campaign types. A growth hacker mindset, personal ownership, and data-driven decision making abilities are essential for this role.
This senior position reports to the VP of Operations and requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of driving growth in a dynamic business environment.
Experience at a media agency is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Media Strategy & Execution:
- Own media buying strategies, collaborating with the Customer Success team for effective placements, budget allocation, and performance tracking.
- Plan and execute paid campaigns for brand awareness, app installs, conversions, lead generation, and e-commerce sales across channels, primarily TikTok.
- Utilize media arbitrage techniques to maximize campaign reach within budgets and stay updated on industry trends and innovative advertising techniques.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Analyze campaign performance data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Optimize media campaigns using data-driven insights, adjusting targeting, messaging, and bidding strategies.
- Provide regular reports to clients, highlighting successes and improvement opportunities.
Social Media Expertise:
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, especially TikTok, and stay up-to-date with updates, features, and best practices.
- Identify effective content for target audiences on different platforms.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop engaging content aligned with client objectives.
Business Intelligence Development:
- Lead the creation of a new Business Intelligence function, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to generate insights and recommendations.
- Identify relevant data sources and tools, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in driving growth, media buying/planning, and conducting primary and secondary research in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, including TikTok, Meta, and YouTube, and understanding of top-performing content.
- Familiarity with growth hacking, data analytics, and media buying trends.
- Proficiency in media arbitrage techniques and managing budgets effectively.
- Strong client management and communication skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Passion for gaming and social media.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field preferred.
