Metal: Hellsinger Is Going to Allow You to Mod In Your Own Music Soon
Get ready to blast demons to Dave Matthews Band.
Metal: Hellsinger just came out, and it delivers everything fans expected. You shoot demons while heavy metal music plays, and that's a good afternoon in our book. For those who have already played through the game, there's reason to remain excited about its future, as developers have announced that players will soon be able to mod in their own music to play along to.
Shoot Along to Your Own Beat
Metal: Hellsinger took to Twitter for the announcement, writing, "Let's tear down the skies. Coming soon to PC. Custom Music Modding support. Unleash Hell. To YOUR beat."
The game already features an eclectic assortment of music from some of the biggest names in metal. These include Serj Tankien (System of a Down), Randy Blythe (Lamb of God), Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquility), and Matt Heafy (Trivium), to name a few.
As of this writing, it's unclear how precisely the modding will work. After all, the way in which gameplay works is that more layers to the music as added as you further increase your multiplier.
It would be great if anyone could stick in whatever MP3 they wanted to play to any music they desired. That means it may not be long until we get videos uploaded to YouTube of kids playing through Metal: Hellsinger while blasting demons to "Wouldn't It Be Nice" by The Beach Boys.
